NEWBORN
First off, Iris uses natural light, so sessions are scheduled in the morning/early afternoon. Iris offers lifestyle sessions at your home or at her in-home studio, whichever is more comfortable for you (Iris does not bring props to homes - just swaddles). Additionally, the best time to shoot newborns for easier more fluid posing is within the first 2 weeks of life. This is because they are sleepier for their session, which is required for some set-ups and poses. However, we are more than happy to photograph newborn sessions whenever mom and dad are comfortable.
Newborn sessions range from 1-1.5 hours. It takes a while to get the baby asleep during transitioning of poses, so that’s why the sessions seem a little long and timing varies. Pricing and what is included is listed below:

What is the next step in securing you for a session?
When you are ready to book, you will submit a $100 deposit via Venmo @Irismoorephoto to secure your spot. This is applied to your final balance. It is non-refundable unless we have to cancel on you for weather or unforseen circumstances.
How and when will I receive my images?
You will receive your images within 2 weeks via an online private gallery. Your private gallery is an online platform (kinda like a fancy dropbox designed for professional photography) that is super easy to use. You are able to view AND download all your edited, digital images directly to your personal device(s). The images are full-resolution, ready to print files. You can download individual photos or all the photos at one time. There’s even an option for web-sized versions, so all your social media looks great! you can share the link with anyone you’d like, and they can also download any photos they’d like (MUCH easier than having to burn CDs or send USBs to family/friends, although there is an a la carte option to get a custom engraved USB).
FAQs
Does our package include edited images?
We never deliver unedited images. Everything you see on our website and social media is what you get! We do all the boring work of sorting through your images and picking out only the best ones, and that is what we edit and deliver.
When is my balance due?
Your final balance is due at the time of your session in cash, check or Venmo (@irismoorephoto). If you need an alternative method, please let us know. Unfortunately, we do not accept credit card for portrait sessions.
What happens if it rains?
It is Florida, so yes, it rains. However, I do my VERY best job to track the weather radars and move sessions around as needed to find a time when the weather is favorable. Please try not to worry about the weather, as that is my job! Any changes that need to be made, I will let you know and we can work together on finding a time that is best.
Where do we shoot?
Key West has a lot of beautiful spots to do a session! However, within the last few years many of the popular locations have started to require permits/fees to do a session on their property. This is just something to keep in mind when picking a spot, as most will have to be scheduled and a permit fee paid for 48 hours in advance. These locations include, but are not limited to; Fort Zachary ($75+ fee and permit 48 hrs in advance), Martello Gardens ($100 Fee and arranged 48hrs in advance), ALL resorts have new rules (you must obtain permission or be staying at the resort to do a shoot on site). These fees are not included in our session fees. If you’d like any of these locations, it will require you to call and schedule the session/sign the permit yourself, as these locations will not allow us to sign for you. We are insured on all properties in Key West, so insurance is not an issue when arranging. See Examples.
What time of day do we shoot?
I always book beach sessions 1.5-2 hours before sunset or 1 hour within sunrise to ensure the best lighting possible. If you are looking at doing photos around town or with greenery in areas like Truman Annex, we can typically shoot at any time. I just look for the shade and make it work!
How should I prepare?
Just show up! If you have any questions on what to wear or where we should shoot, we can talk about that before your session. However, my website is designed to answer almost ALL the questions, so we can direct you in the right spot for that information. Do you shoot weddings on boats?
Depends! We love being out on the water, but it can be tough to schedule a sandbar shoot with weather and the tides. If it is something you are looking into, just let us know, and we can work with you on figuring out if it’s an option.
